Private Equity Finance – Fund Controller – highly visible role!

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Private Equity Fund Controllerwith Alternative Investment industry experience. This is a highly visible role – working directly with CFO and CEO, with strategic projects and career advancement opportunities. The PE firm is growing its AUM and thus expanding the team.

• Wide range of responsibilities – impactful role in fund-to-fund strategy – oversee and manage treasury activity for a boutique $1.5 billion PE firm, private equity fund accounting approvals across multiple vehicles, collaborate with 3rd party executives and reviewers, monitor banking functions, execute complex legal filings, oversee private LLC / SPV entities, and identify process improvements and efficiencies for our rapidly growing company.
• The role offers a seat at the table, input towards strategic decisions, direct interaction with various internal and external business partners & investors, and mentorship of direct reports.

Qualifications:

1. 8+ years of experience in fund management, alternative investment industry fund accounting / financial reporting or controllership. Prior audit experience is helpful.
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA / CFA / MSA is a plus
3. Team player who takes initiative and enjoys working with a passionate team.
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including workpapers to be relied upon by external parties.
5. Attention to detail, ability to multitask and give status updates to your team, and concisely summarize complex issues
